Goodness, it is so hard to believe that we finally have some of that wonderful fall weather around Abilene. I am thrilled with the cooler temperatures, and hope that all of you are as well. I find that it is a welcomed change in our household. Along with the changing seasons we have some big changes for your local scrapbook store.
After a great deal of thought and contemplation, John and I have decided to sell/close the store. It was a tough conclusion to come to, but it’s certainly what is right for our family and for our future. We hope that you will understand.
Please know that we want the store to continue, and we sincerely hoped that we would find the perfect buyer that would have taken the store and made it their own unique version of Scrapbook Junkie. We have been looking for this person… Can you help?
I realize that many of you have always said how wonderful it would be to have your very own scrapbook store. If any of you are serious about this statement and have financial the means to do so, please contact me. There is still time if any of you are sincerely interested, but it’s becoming more limited.
Please understand that I will only be able to visit with and release information to serious individuals who will be able to purchase the store outright or qualify for a commercial/business loan through a bank. I will not owner-finance the business. Please keep this in mind, as this will keep things moving smoothly for everyone.
I would also like to ask as a courtesy not only to me but to my employees as well, that you please direct all questions to myself or John and not to our employees. John and I are the only two people that will be able to answer questions about the business. Please also understand that I will not discuss business issues over the phone or in person, during business hours when I am running the store. We are flexible, and will make appointments with you to discuss the business privately if you are seriously interested.
We sincerely appreciate your consideration on this matter.
** Please Note:
Scrapbook Junkie will accept gift certificates and fully completed punch cards until WEDNESDAY October 18th. After Wednesday, we will NO LONGER accept gift certificates or completed punch cards in the store. Please come in now if you have either that you would like to redeem.
We are considering putting in one final order for our custom high school products (depending on the number of orders that we receive). If there is a high school product that you would like to have (scrapbook, photo album, frames, or refills), please come in and pre-pay for your item(s). We will not order anything that is not pre-paid. You will have until Thursday, October 19th to submit and pay for your order in the store. All custom orders will be full retail price, and $15 punch card discounts cannot be applied to this custom order amount.
Please know that if there is something that you have been wanting, now is the time to get it. We will not be re-ordering anything that is in the store. Should we find a buyer, it will be up to them to determine what is re-stocked and which new lines brought in once they have taken ownership of the store.
Please watch for email updates, and updates on our blog about the store.
We have sincerely enjoyed each and every one of you… our wonderful customers. I have laughed at your silly/fun layouts, cried with the sad ones, and have learned so much from everyone these last three and a half years. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives, even if it was just being “the scrapbook lady”… it has been an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Sincerely,
Summer
